You, The Living

Nicki Minaj (ft. Drake) – Moment 4 Life [Via] Not only is Nicki Minaj the best rapper, actress and English impersonator in the whole universe, she was kind enough to personally shout me out on her new iPhone app. I feel so alive.

321 : Brokenchord

Brokenchord is the first Lithuanian to feature on Pinglewood, but don’t worry, he speaks the language of woozy, intimate, ever-morphing ?step (and English, phew). Like Boards of Canada, M83 or Mount Kimbie his music is electronic and pastoral. Check out his new single on Black Acre. After the jump he talks about Linda Perhacs and [...]

D2P : Stopmakingme

For this week’s Dollars To Pounds, the awesome Stopmakingme put together an epic 78-minute mixtape. Read our nice chat at The FADER. Tracklist after the jump. Stopmakingme – Dollars To Pounds Mix [mp3]

Night Watch

CREEP (ft. Romy Madley-Croft) – Days A video directed by half of Fischerspooner that sort of suggests Lauren Dillard is Jesus. Yay!

Inner City Pressure

We expected the first Visions Of Trees video to be made from grainy found footage and bathed in dreamy colours, but we were wrong (standard). Instead, here is a dexterous and disorienting tale from London’s mean streets.

Tuned In

Boxcutter – TV Troubles Boxcutter has a new album called The Dissolve. The title could be a filmmaking reference, or maybe it’s about what happens if you fall into a vat of acid. Either way, he enlisted Canadian artist Sabrina Ratté to make this pretty video, a spectrum-melting experiment in liquid colour.

D2P : Eagulls

Here is a quote from this week’s D2P with Eagulls: “An eagle could easily knack a kestrel, but I suppose a kestrel would be better to just chill out with.” And below is their killer cover of The Wipers. Read more and stream their new single at The Fader. Eagulls – Mystery (The Wipers cover) [...]

Drifting Away

I’ve been reading about Halls in all the best places, and now here he is in slighly less tasteful surroundings. Chakra Drums is like watching Fitzcarraldo shot on a camera phone, or the fog in Amarcord that swallows a whole town. It’s part of his lovely debut EP which you can grab from his Bandcamp. [...]

On The Down Low

If, like us, you’ve spent the last few days obsessing over Creep‘s bubblin’ mix for FACT, then this is for you. Not so much a remix, as a blowback. Imagine Deadboy turning up at Creep’s house at 3am and dragging them off to some rave where they get the fear and don’t talk for five [...]
