321 : Quail Lungs

321 Week begins. This little chat with Quail Lungs is the 321st of our 321 interviews, so we’re dedicating a few days to the discussion of facts, songs and wishes. Listen to ramshackle declarations from Quail Lungs and his crack’d heart, then after the jump he talks about the Kinks, Dylan and coming down.

Travis Bonilla: “This new year’s hung me over for two days — weed wouldn’t even help.
“Last year I went back to school to learn how to make wine, so I know lots of half-facts about science and shit.”
Led Zeppelin IV has no title, actually.”
TB: “”I Am Free by the Kinks. I can love few songs for 10 years. And I think Nothing sounds like Kinks acoustic guitar — it’s always slammed. Brutes!”

“Too Much Of Nothing by Bob Dylan and the Band. Eerie stuff, right? Wake up and get spooky. I love the opening lead guitar whine, and then the song starts lilting, BUT then it starts ascending and it kinda stresses me out (maybe even annoys one) only to plateau into the sweetest bouncing chorus about money, women, and oblivion.”

TB: “I wish I had a friend in town to play Settlers of Catan with — whenever I wanted.”
Quail Lungs’ debut single is out soon on Post Present Medium.
