Thanks to the awesomeness of No Age approximately 85% of bands now sound like they record inside untuned televisions using upturned skips as a microphones. They are fathers of the Summer Of Rad and as such, the last 321 of summer. (Let’s just pretend today is the last day of summer). We spoke to Dean about OMD, medical marijuana and motherfuckers.

Dean Allen Spunt: “1. I eat brown rice and vegetables at least 3 times a week.

“2. In California you can get a medical marijuana card and it allows you to smoke pot anywhere it is legal to smoke cigarettes (as long as you got the card on you).

“3. Los Angeles was burning down a few days ago.”

DAS: “OMD – 2nd Thought. This song is so great. It takes a bit to kick in but when it does it is so pretty and raging. The vocal melody is incredible.”

“Citizens Arrest – Serve and Protect. Great hardcore song. This is off their first 7″ if I am not mistaken. When the vocals drop it’s so gnarly, just teen rage and anger and straight edge all blasting in your ears.”
