We thought Phoenix’s expertly curated Tabloid compilation would be our favourite collection of old songs this month, but we hadn’t reckoned with Greg from Acid Girls and his beautiful Magical Musical Box mix. On it he joins the dots between Tones and Tail, Robert Wyatt and the amazing jazz harpist, Dorothy Ashby, while still finding time for Iggy Pop and Autechre. We’re doubly blown away by this because Ryuchi Sakamoto’s Rain reminded us of our favourite baroquebeat rave anthem by Shut Up & Dance.
