321 : Aeroplane

Aeroplane are two magnificent men with a disco machine. We spoke to one of them, the awesome Stephen Fasano, for our new NME blog, and made sure he answered our three little questions. After the jump he tells about epic synths, the Beach Boys and missing calls from Grace Jones.

Stephen Fasano: “1. We don’t like flying… A pity for a band called Aeroplane.

2. There is always too much bass drum on our track when we play it in a club.

3. Grace Jones called us last week, Vito was sleeping and Stephen didn’t heard her talk… Grace please call us back! ”

SF: “God Only Knows by The Beach Boys. This one is a classic. We know we always mention it but we can listen to this track 10 times everyday it’s always the same emotion! ”

“Envole moi by Jean-Jacques Goldman. Listening to this since one month. Well known french pop singer. This track from the 80s has everything we love on it. The melody is completely epic and the synths and productions is just cheesy as we like. We think that if this song was done in English it could have been an international electronic hit. ”
