321 : Hype Williams

London duo Hype Williams have a song called White Mike, which is, in part, a tribute to the lunkheaded drug dealer from The Wire. "Our 'chemist' at the time had the same name," explains the band's Roy Nnawuchi. "Between waiting for his calls and watching that show, the name seemed to come up a lot." You can hear more from Hype Williams at our NME blog, and after the jump, the polluted and lascivious duo answer our three little questions.

3 FACTS

Roy Nnawuchi: "1. Only take two every four hours.

"2. Allah is Halal.

"3. 'Me and Cam'ron haven't spoken to each other in a year...I kept quiet out of loyalty, I felt like if we can't be friends then at least we can do business together.'"

2 1 SONGS

RN: "Pink Turns To Blue by Husker Du. It should be the jingle for a pregnancy test commercial."

1 WISH

RN: "I wish,I wish,I wish
(To every city,every hood
and every block)
I wish,I wish
(Ghetto America)
I wish,I wish,I wish,
I wish,I wish,I wish."

Hype Williams' Dude Wants Female EP is out now on High Beams. Fire Crip Walk With Me soundtrack is out in April and a US east coast tour follows in July.
